How much do you think a featureless car would cost?
Imagine a car with no AC, no interior electronics (radio, speaker, fancy dash), no interior at all besides seats and heating insulation, "ECU" is just a tiny IC that basicallt just controls the fuel injectors, engine is small, frame is small, etc etc etc.
Perfection is when there is nothing left to take away.

There's a version of the 86 sold like that in Japan. Comes with an unpainted bumper and mirrors, steelies, no AC or stereo and 6 speed only. Sold at 1.9 mil JPY which is just over $17k.

Anon. Those features can take off a few grands off from a car, but the thing remains, the thing that truly makes a car cheap or expensive is not those features, its the design of the car itself, is the parts that its done with, its the engine, the suspension, the interior, etc.
