Right now I pay about $100/mo for insurance on my vehicle, I live in NA. It's an old 2005 Suzuki Swift. If I were to buy a brand new Civic or Corolla, how much would my insurance go up by, roughly? Should I expect my insurance rates to go up by like double or by 50% or what?
I'm undecided on the car I want to buy next and but I'm most likely getting a new vehicle and was looking for a rough estimate on insurance rates changes.

nigga i pay $272/month for my '14 tC.
Granted i'm 22.
>>15014451
22, male, single?, and driving a new coupe.. Still, $272 seems unreasonably high to me. Did you get into an accident or anything?
>>15014487
That's probably comprehensive insurance, Because he probably financed or leased it. Any lien on the car = full comprehensive coverage, which almost always doubles your insurance on a vehicle

Yes

>Did you get into an accident or anything?
Hit a deer once but state law prohibited Allstate from raising my rates.
>>15014852
Shit. I hope my insurance doesn't spike too much when I get comprehensive. 270 seems way too high.

why not just call your insurance company and ask for a quote on a 2016 civic how are we supposed to know anything about your insurance

>why not just call your insurance company and ask for a quote on a 2016 civic how are we supposed to know anything about your insurance
Because then they keep fucking calling back.

I just don't know what car I want. I might opt for something like a 2-door used luxury car instead, so I guess what my real question is, what should I be prepared to be paying when I switch over to comprehensive on a new vehicle.
>>15014779
Comprehensive + collision, collision being the more expensive part. I swear you fags don't know shit about insurance.
>>15014864
$270 is insanely high.
>>15014435

Always shop around for insurance. Someone will want your business and they'll give you a discount for it.
Do insurance companies usually raise rates for first tickets?
>>15018552
No they give you a discount
>>15018602
Har har har. Perhaps a stupid question but I'm genuinely wondering.
>>15018654
Yes take a class to get it dropped if you can
