The Cayman and boxster actually hold up quite well to the e250. They're much faster, have two trunks and are better depreciation wise.

my father drives a brand new f type but that would be good as a second car not a daily driver, it's not comfortable at all and you need to watch not hitting the street when clearing a bump

That seems to suit your comfy and "sporty" needs, and they're in your price bracket used i think. If running costs are too expensive, i'd recommend a range rover or a normal ML500.

A 5 series BMW and an E-class Mercedes are competing cars so they're basically same shit just different wrapping. Try both and go for the one that appeals the most to you. There aren't really any pro's and con's about either, both are great cars.
E-Class is perhaps more focused on ride comfort than a BMW which tries to be more sporty by having stiffer chassis and different suspension, not to say that the Mercedes can't handle just as well, you just cant feel the road as much as in the BMW which really gives me the feel of driving.
