So now that the age of 50s and 60s retro designs have passed, how long do you think it will be before we get 70s and 80s retro designs?

IMO, I think it won't be too much longer. I think the crazier designs are starting to bore customers and a lot of them are probably going to ask for simpler designs. That, alongside Gen Xrs getting older and fonder of the 70s, 80s and 90s I think will bring us back to boxy-style designs updated to be a little more modern but still retaining some simplicity.

I fucking love these style of cars the angles and the way they just look weighty, their interiors were always so stripped too but sturdy.

I love that you guys are starting to come around on Daytonas. I'm always trying to push turbo Ks on you but if I have to start you out on G so be it.

I certainly hope this happens. I honestly cant see myself purchasing any newer model cars until they fix their overworked designs. AND with the seemingly decreasing manual trans option its even less likely. pfft, apparently enjoyment isnt on manufacturers bucket lists.

I like Ford's design language, it has sorta of an futuristic 80's vibe.

You think?

with CAD, they got a lot to play around with.

But the language has been consistent, well if you forget about the late 90's and early 2000's.

>imagine blasting Kavinsky on this on a windy road late a night.

If I had known about the SHO I probably would have bought one in the early 2000s to replace my turbo K that finally died.

nice.

I bought an SVT Contour, which was like an SHO.

But I broke it, twice. It was the most fun car I've had to date.

I'm still determined to find an SHO in immaculate condition to live out my 80's fantacies kek.

I prefer 70s/80s euro. I know they don't tend to do any kind of throwback designs, but I somewhat wish they would
>>
>>15001786
is it weird I appreciate the 90's ford design language more now than back then?

I remember not liking the 90's foxbody mustang as a kid because "it just looks like a sedan"

nowadays I appreciate it a bit more.

They may have already started anon.

seeing as how the 80s produced the ugliest cars ever made and how now is the ugliest since then Id say its happening
>>
>>15002911
Honestly I'd say 90s/00s cars are significantly uglier than their 80s counterparts, but then again that's just me.

>You are now imagining this design with modern engineering underneath.

Hnnnng.

Sadly impossible due to pedestrian safety regulations.
