Does it look like this rotor needs to be changed? It has superficial rust in it as far as i can tell but i don't know if its that bad. I'm looking to buy this mustang and i want to know if i should call for a better deal because of this.
It only has 25k miles so i assumed it has been sitting for a while.

that's from it sitting on the lot, it's literally nothing

take it for a rip and hit the breaks a few times, if it goes away you're all good, if not, you might want to look at new pads

v6 performance pack or GTCS?

I really like those wheels, sad I had to get rid of mine because they don't clear my brembo bbk

What wheels are those?

it's badly scored. but will still work. also either rust or contamination. but rotors do this when they've left for a few days so if it is rust then no. its not the worst I've seen. should still work fine.

It doesn't look like a rusted rotor to me, it looks uneven. Normally when a rotor rusts its light spotting all over the surface. That one has a band of rust on the inside and near nothing on the outer ring. Could be nothing but it looks off.

What this guy said. Rotors that have surface rust due to sitting generally have very even little spots (or a light coat of rust on the whole thing if it's been sitting a long time).

It's odd to see some bare metal and some very rusted metal. Could be that it's slightly uneven and hasn't been braked hard enough to grab at the deeper parts, could be very slight. But that pattern would indicate it's at least a little uneven.

Test drive, report back.

yes it should probably be changed, it looks like it has caught Ford and should be swapped for a superior Honda or Nissan
