I've had the best sense of speed with Richard Burns Rally. Eventhough you aren't going fast, the narrow stages and rather difficult physics in combination with the cockpit view gives an amazing sense of speed.
I haven't tried Dirt Rally, so I don't know how that is

I don't think it would be too hard for me to adapt, my main concern is if all the fiddling is worth it.
Also I notice the mod says that it's for steering wheels with 900, 270 deg rotation wheels and gamepad. I have only 180 deg wheel, will this cause issues?
And just as I try to get the mod from their site, I get pic related.

So with a little touches to my set up I got this. It's fucking possible to be fast in this car compared to how I can get 1:46s with every non Merc car with little effort. But god damn did it take a lot to muscle the SLS around for that time

R33 mod for hot version needs testing, but it should basically be done.
ISSUES:
Alignment needs to be corrected when car is lowered. Keep this in mind before you drop the car 60mm and then wonder why you have 0.6 degrees of toe at the front.

Only reason to play with manual is when game is fucked up that it is faster to shift with manual + clutch (TDU2) or when when you need to upshift to reduce wheel torque (but in AC/pC etc you can upshift with automatic too).

At least they include all released packs for the "AAA" game price on steam - and they recently lowered the price on them as well. I can only hope the new pack will be 10 bucks rather than 15 like normal...I still think they're worth it because I absolutely love Assetto Corsa

From my short experience with the mod, is all I can say is it makes the grip on the tires worse, so the drift distance is bigger and the fact that it makes quick-jerky movements harder to pull off(scandy flick for instance)
Just wanted to say that this games is awesome. Just replayed it and had a blast. Some of the tracks get my heart pounding.

I don't know, I used to be really active on iRacing and spent a bunch of money on their shit, then I bought AC in early access two years ago and I haven't found any other game that feels as good to drive in. Iceracing was great fun online, and gave me heart tremors when I joined a real race, but AC just feels so much better, over 400 hours put in and I have never done a race against AI or online, it's all just cruising and online practice mode. I enjoy it at least so there's that. I understand there's probably better sims out there in terms of breadth and content, or online and racing support, but the driving "feel" has never come closer to me than AC.
Sorry for gushing, I never ever post but I just wanted to express some love for AC.

/ovg/ used to be a place where fast guys from different games and message boards would come to talk shit about their respective communities. we learned lots about touring pro series, the ac modding scene, iracing, euro truck sim, and general manchildren sim racing drama faggotry most admins wouldnt let you talk openly about if you posted on a "normie" board. all of them raced with us because it was a place without "normie" race stewards as well.
