I wear a Shoei Neotec and have a pretty good screen so I don't have a problem but I used to wear Shure SE215 earphones on my sports tourer with triple flange tips that go half way to your brain.
If you want straight sound attenuation while maintaining situational awareness, go to a music shop (for musicians, not HMV) and buy attenuating earplugs, they evenly deaden sounds across the frequency range so you can enjoy your engine sounds without going deaf from them or the wind.

What are the signs that you need to rebuild your brake master cylinder or caliper?
Brembos are an original part on my bike, and they're known for being a bit soft. I've done the normal fixes like drilling extra holes in the banjo bolt, and I got it to firm up a bit today but I still don't have the rock solid lever feel like I do with the Nissins on my other bike. If I do NOT lose pressure when holding in the lever does it mean all my seals are good?

There's not much point in starting on an RC390. It's not the normal "starter bike" with gentle ergonomics and forgiving geometry. It's a lot like a real race/sport bike, except smaller. I would advise against it.
The R3 will be a lot like the Ninjette except for having a slightly bigger engine. But these are somewhat pointless as well since being the "fastest 300cc bike" is of no glory when beginners can just as well ride a CBR/Ninja/SV 500/650.

I have mine geared rather tall so it cruises fine up to about 70. More than that and it feels a little revvy and you get blown around a lot.
I think a 650 would be a bit better all around if you want to do that, but you'll probably have a much more enjoyable ride if you stick to 55mph roads.
