So I was rewatching Mad Max Fury Road and during one of the last chase scenes they start spitting gas into the super charger intakes to get a small boost. I'm sort of a car retard so I don't really know but I'm pretty curious to see what you guys think
Compressing a flammable liquid is a bad idea mmm'kay
>watches mad max road fury
>several times
>a retard when it comes to cars
seems fitting
Thanks for ruining it for me ass.

Fury road a shit. Although pregnant girl is sexy as fuck
>>14975037
Nigga it's been out for a while
>>14975028
then why are carbs mounted on top of superchargers and not the other way around?

but don't roots superchargers just shove air into the engine instead of just compressing it
>>14975140
> carbs pour liquid fuel into the engine
This isnt how carbs work.
>>14975028
Compressing a flammable liquid in the presence of an oxidizer is bad mmm;kay
>>14975179
i think they are usually less peak boost than turbos but they still compress

>>14975140
Only do this if you want to run >100 octane fuel
>>14975179
Good fuck, man.
It wasn't gas it was nitro, as in nitromethane, which is what top fuel dragsters run on.

If the fuel/air mixture ignites without a spark, no matter how compressed it is, you have serious problems. This is called detonation or preignition and destroys engines.

See above.
>>14975015
This would work only if the engine were running lean. In this situation, there's extra air to oxidize the fuel being spit into the blower.

If the cylinder is under partial vacuum and you 'shove' air into it, it's being compressed relative to where it was, even if we're not at atmospheric pressure yet.
