Awesome so long as you do it right and are doing it for the right reasons (to fit the functionality of the bike to your needs).

Means don't need to compromise and get the sub-par equipment usually reserved for the naked models.

Rather common and popular in motogymkhana competitions for good reason, those guys all have upright bars, fairings unnecessary due to low overall peak speed etc.

Only motorcycles for rent in my area are Honda Goldwing touring bikes, dirt bikes, and a Grom.

Thanks, although I don't know if it's all good yet.

I'm never going to find another CBR600 at the price I paid for that last one. Plus I really liked that one in particular.

And I'm not sure what the final valuation will be.

She's dead Jim.

Appearantly there was frame damage, and some of the pipes broke in the collision.

Cost to repair would be approaching $5000, and the bike isn't worth that, so written off.

Honestly sad about losing her. Loved that ride.

What are you guys using for insurance? My company is no longer covering motorcycles in my state so I need to switch.

My current policy is about $1104. I also can't ever bring myself to come down on theft coverage, so my quote's jacked from 179 to 1021. If I drop Collision it goes to 545. Has anyone used Collision on their bike, I'm not really sure what it's for? Can you use it if you wipe out on a turn and dump the bike?

dear dbt,

How do I meet and pay for a bike I saw on craigslist?
I would usually meet in a public place and bring cash for cheaper portable items, but I'm not sure the seller can conveniently take the bike to a public area, and I'm hesitant to carry 1500 bucks in cash.
