I have one, it's pretty useful in the most random situations. You need enough clearance around the bolt to use it and you also need to line that shit up in the middle or else you'll just scrape everything.

Could imagine it's handy to keep somewhere in case of emergency repairs. Maybe in some machine where it'd be inconvenient to keep a whole socket set box at all times. Could just keep a socket like that, couple of adjustable wrenches etc.
I operate forestry machinery some times, I usually keep two pipe wrenches and a screwdriver, it takes care of most trouble in the middle of nowhere. They can be used for a little hammering and bending too.
