Nah, I prefer having actual sockets that fit properly so there is not a chance of damaging the bolt/nut
>>
The stud remover or the 1/4 hex to 3/8 adapter? I have both and they are both useful.

nice garage and tools anon

ever since i moved out of my parents, i haven't had any tools besides the basics, so i'm slowly buying more as i need them.

No. There is always a better way to remove a rounded fastener than using one of those.

About 2/3rds of it is my dads, and rest is mine... its 30 years worth of buying tools as you need them, and as such we've ended up with quite the assortment of brands and qualities

Still, can't wait until the day I have my own little garage with perfectly organized cabinets, a two-post lift and every other tool I'd ever need
>>
>>14966402
What kind of mig is that. A lincoln?
>>
>>14966325
So then why the fuck did you need to ask which one? Fucking smug Californian
>>

Because he has never turned a wrench and has no idea what he's talking about
>>
>>14966315
love these, they make strip downs so much faster
and as long as it's not super high torque they work fine
>>
>>14966325
that isn't a stud remover you fucking idiot

Have you ever held a tool in your life?
>>

I heard these are shit, idk though my dad's a millwright so I've got tools for everything. Might be useful if you're on a budget

That's my left hand, I use traditional tools with my right
>>
I have one, it's pretty useful in the most random situations. You need enough clearance around the bolt to use it and you also need to line that shit up in the middle or else you'll just scrape everything.
>>
>>14966631
Maybe get a dictionary in that case, because you sound uneducated as fuck
>>
oem toolkit and a brick
>>
>>14966631
Same here. Left hand fapping is the best; you can fap and use your mouse at the same time
>>
>>14966658
How so? Looks like a cheap shit universal stud remover (and could probably be used as one). The other posts itt suggest it's supposed to be a universal socket, obviously no professional tech would ever use that, as we use the correct tools for the job.
>>
>>14966690
You done have to use something every day to know what it is, poser ass nigger.

I have one somewhere, got it as a gift.

I don't think I've ever used it beyond playing with the pins when I first go it.
>>
>>14966315
I've never used one, but the former of it looks like it would be more useful than most universal bolt turning tools.

>>14967527

Good Lord no. Right tool for the job always. Skip universals at all costs.
>>
>>14966315

>>
>>14966368
OP's pic isn't intended for rounded fasteners, dingus
>>
>>14967679
It's actually touted as being great for them as well as being a universal socket replacement. It likely fails at both.

I have the second one for my cordless impact and drill, but I have all the correct sockets so I dint need the top one.
>>
>>14966315

Could imagine it's handy to keep somewhere in case of emergency repairs. Maybe in some machine where it'd be inconvenient to keep a whole socket set box at all times. Could just keep a socket like that, couple of adjustable wrenches etc.
I operate forestry machinery some times, I usually keep two pipe wrenches and a screwdriver, it takes care of most trouble in the middle of nowhere. They can be used for a little hammering and bending too.

Wish that I had a craftsman box with labels on it? I had a similar box when I started as a lube tech 10 years ago, lasted about 6 months

Custom built, with a Rotax turbo engine
The guy who owns the garage, the cars and everything else is the guy who is allowed to approve and certificate gyrocopters here in Norway, so he can just build all this stuff himself

>>14969100
Its actually quite decently organised, its just that its all different brands, sizes and whatever, so it looks like shit. As for all the things on the desk; thats my father not cleaning up his shit
>>
>>14969122
>Cant argue with that.
well we have seen him post pictures of cars and engines in various states of repair, we haven't seen him actually work on a car, or have had reports of the quality of his work. I do imagine it is o.k.
>>
>>14970046
I've paid a bit of attention to the stuff he writes, and I consider it solid, or at the very least quite a few steps above my normie-level of knowledge

He's fairly lost on how to make his pos falcon fast.
