Is there third-party car radios that have the feel and look of this?

Kike mods banned me and deleted my shit (burn in hell you lazy niggers)

Dynavin is what you want. BTW you have DSP so you cant install a normal stereo
>>
>>14961348
this is pretty much the gold standard for oem-looking headunits

but dynavin is the best oem-looking thing for BMWs
>>
If you like the MID just go buy an E39 or E53, cheap these days.
>>
why do aftermarket radios always have to be flashy shit with 5000 functions?

>>14961893
It's to attract retards that are also poor.

I am so tired of this shit
Literally every single aftermarket faceplate looks exactly the same, glossy and retarded. If one of the previous owners replaced the stereo you're basically fucked and destined to look like an asshat forever.

was looking at a QTTD-whatever thread, but this seems like a good place to ask.

I am looking to replace my car stereo (Volvo HU-605 unit) and want to get hust something that does not flashy and retarded, and can play my music.

now, ive seen some units that have up to 6 inch screens (the standard 605 is quite big) and i was wondering if these are worth it, ir am i just going to waste 150 bucks and make my car bit more stupid?

also, the wires are in the back of the 605 tow massive cable clusters and one antenna cable, but the new units i have been looking at looks nothing like that, or have jacks that would fit, and i was wondering if i have to get some kind of conversion kit for that?

thanks

>If one of the previous owners replaced the stereo you're basically fucked

Just replace the stereo again with one of /o/ approved units. Wiring should be easier, too, as the previous owner has already taken care of proprietary bullshit.

Also, 2-din units generally look much better.
>>
>>14963155
2 slot units are a giant waste of space.

If your new stereo has an ISO connector, just google for "volvo iso adapter" and find one that matches the connector that you have in the car. Though the Chinese don't give a fuck about correct wiring, so you should also look up pinouts for both HU-605 and your new stereo and make sure you're not connecting 12 V to subwoofer out or something like that.
>>
>>14963169
There isn't much use for a second 1-din slot anyway.
>>
>>14963195
I use UHF radio in my second slot
>>
>>14963209
There are DIN-mounted aftermarket trip computers/diagnostic units, too.

Very few people need those though.
>>
>>14963186
huh, i don't see any radio that even mentions ISO on the sites i have looked at. can i just assume any new-ish aftermarket radio has ISO connector?

Some of them have proprietary connectors and just provide an open-ended cable that you must finish by yourself.

Also, the stereo may not mention ISO but still have it; look at the pictures, it's a pretty distinct pair of 8-pin connectors.

>>

>could a complete noob do that?

Just connecting the cables is ezpz. But sometimes stuff doesn't match; I had to solder a capacitor to make my radio antenna work and I couldn't get the stereo to power up and down together with ignition because the car expects a digitally controlled proprietary stereo.
>>
>>14964465
>stuff doesn't match
see, its at this point i am starting to get afraid

then again, the cables coming out from the radio socket so to say look very much like the contacts pictured above.

and one site that seemed pretty good to me told me that it will not fit the car, despite both being double DIN

and if i pussy out completely, how much will a garage charge me for it?

can i pick up a stereo from a scrap yard?

my car is 1998 and the stereo is 2015 and fucking clashes and triggers me hard
>>
>>14961587

dynavin only applies to dual din BMW's.

everything before E36 uses single din
>>
>>14965106
of course, but a stereo from a '98 model is likely going to be a cassette pos
>>
>>14961348
The shuffle doesn't really work on it. I could have a SD card with hundreds of files and it will always go back and fourth between a dozen or so songs.
>>
>>14965188
i like cassettes

is their anything available now that looks 1998ish?
specifically with green lights cost isn't a huge issue
>>
>>14964689
If your car is 1990+, it will all probably match up.

>>
>>14961249
There are Dynavin units for the E39/E46/E53.

Personally, I'd do a MK4 or CIC/NBT conversion, because if image is your car, you have DSP, and that shit sucks (to add an aftermarket unit to, anyway)
>>
>>14962559
Whoever you are, you had better tell me where to get one of these. Only sites I can find are in Russian.
