Here's why.

>meanwhile im america working class people can save enough to buy cars like mustang AND afford to fill the tank every week

lmao no

most americans lease new cars and rack up shitloads of debt
>>
Cause in 'Murica any retard with a few $ can get their license. In yurope it's much more expensive and much harder to get a license, as well as cars and fuel being more expensive in general.
At least we don't have a crazy tax on Japs
>>
Meanwhile in America working class people aren't actually working class because half the manufacturing has been outsourced to China and the country now has to keep itself afloat by selling itself burgers and loans. Speaking of which, Americans have no concept of savings and manage their finances solely by offsetting their monthly payments against their monthly income, this is why most of them drive excessive cars but are thousands in debt when you actually look at their equity.
>>
>>14907859
But consider that if you were born just a few hundred kilometers to the east, you would've had it much worse.
>>
>>14907876

Manufacturing isn't the only "working class" job but yeah the service industry and retail are probably the biggest employers.
But yeah Americans definitely live above their pay grade and put themselves into debt to keep up appearances far too often.

Emigrate, like everyone else from Poland has. Move to britain, work a job or two, buy a car, eat curries and kebabs, and live like a king compared to Poland.

>Astounding fees

Bullshit. You've just got to know what you're looking for. I bought a top of the line Rover 75, 16 years old, leather, dual zone air con, electric everything, heated seat V6 powered, 2 owners from new, 135,000 on the clock. Cost me £350 and I didn't even try and haggle on the price.

Ran it for six months, sold it for £400. Cost me £4 in parts, a wiper blade and a bulb.

Just bought an old 306 diesel, 85 thou from new, one owner, rust free, clean as a whistle, full service history needs a rear damper for an MOT, £390.

Friend of mine bought an S210 Mercedes estate, 3.2 V6 with all the kit, most of which worked, for around £500 a few years ago. Slight rust on arch, and previous owner had ruined the suspension, but ran fine until human error killed it, about six months later. Would have gotten through another MOT if not for that.

So, luxury barges, or basic runabouts, all available for cheap in England. What prices are you used to seeing? Or are you one of these people that thinks the used car market stops at 5 year old vehicles?

Dunno what you consider astounding fees, but for less than £500 the market is enormous as long as you're willing to do legwork.

I've seen a few yanks here say the price of used cars in the UK is actually pretty decent even compared to America

I think he must be thinking of insurance and road tax. Also keep in mind that a lot of people here are under 25 so are the ones getting quotes for £1.5k on a 1.4 litre Focus
>>
>>14910311
Even then you can do a bit of shopping around for a better insurance rate
My first car was a 2009 Fiat grande punto 1.4 and it only cost me £860 a year in insurance
>>
>>14910325
to us that's reasonable, to americans that's insane
>>
>>14910343
I don't think it is, the average for America is $907, for the UK it's £594
