I thought those were origin country stickers so if you go abroad policemen don't fuck you up for having crazy number plates they've never seen before?
>>14907548
Yeah, that and they're meant to show other road users that you are new to that country's roads, that's why rally cars often have them
>>14907530

>>14907577

>drive to europe
>still need GB sticker even though I have EU plates
why not just bring back all the old euro plates then?
The travel sticker parodies here in the states are very pretentious, but I wouldn't mind having one here of my home state.

There are a few states and individual districts in Germany that at least allow you to get DIN plates again if you have a car registered as historic. On the other hand DIN plates -can- look absolutely horrid when there are too many characters because some of them will be slimmed and some won't. With an EU plate either all the characters are normal or all characters are slim.
>long term stickers on paint
>remove sticker after twenty years
>paint around sticker differently faded than paint under sticker

But it's stylish, why would I restrict it to vacations?
No retrocool germcar is complete without this though.
>>14907677
It's like I'm on /osg/.
>>14907759
You could just leave the magnet on and regularly clean underneath

>You must display a GB sign and could be fined if you don't.
>Outside the EU, some countries still require a GB sticker even if you have euro-plates, so it is always safer to display one.
>>14908248
>In the European Economic Area, vehicles from one member state do not need to display the oval while within another state, provided the number plate is in the common EU standard format introduced in the 1990s, which includes the international vehicle registration code on the plate
