What's the comfiest car you can get on a reasonable budget? Not looking for anything but the interior being comfy and nice

Old luxury cars from the 80s and 90s. Q45 and LS400 are nice

I'd say an American landyacht (Caprice, Impala, Crown Vic, Grand Marquis, Town Car, etc.) These are RWD v8 cars and they usually have a bench seat upfront with a column shifter, leaving plenty of leg room.

70's - 80's American land yacht. Bonus points for the 500ci FWD. Fuck leather Suede is where it's at.

I would not call it decadent just that its driving position is very ergonomic
I suspect this is also the case with

Yes, same is true for the Cadillac Deville and BMW 540. I blame it on the cushy suspensions and silently smooth 32v engines. I've owned all these cars and while I never fell asleep, my passengers would knock out after about 15 minutes every time lol.

We know. But it's unique enough as the FX16.
I had an FX that I recent sold

First car was a '91 LeSabre. Comfy as fuck. I think a bench seat is a must-have to meet your requirements, OP.

>>14903904
buick century man, comfy as hell! 3.1 v6 gets good mileage, reliable , affordable. only problems youll need to look into is the speedo not working due to bad ground and rusting rocker panels
>>
What's a comfy car that I can get with a manual?
I know of the 540i, but what others are there?

Also I'd prefer less expensive, but I know that's not always easy.

My first was a 93' Olds Cutlass Ciera. I liked to call it the poor man's Cadillac because it was basically a cheaper to own Caddy. Front split bench is like a couch. Back bench is like a better couch. Window was the perfect height for your arm to rest on, steering wheel was nicely shaped for lazy driving. Only thing I didn't like was you had to reach for the knobs on the radio. My ac didn't work but the heater had 6 vents for the front seat so I was NEVER cold. Michigan winters for 3 years, warm in minutes.

Had a 94 one of these, absolute piece of shit but comfy as fuck.

Early 90s LS400 or Lincoln Town Car.
Both bulletproof. Both available for $5k. Both comfy as hell.

You're going to hate spending a fortune at the pump, tho

It's not really the kind of thing you can get on a budget, sorry, but these two have the comfiest interiors I've ever experienced.

B6 A4, cheap as chips and maximally comfortable. Only downside is the comically large steering wheel, so if you're tall, have fun not having room for your legs every time you brake.

Can't post a pic right now because phone but Grand Marquis' are surprisingly comfy and also cheap/durable as fuck. Fuel efficiency is less than desirable though

Phaeton.

Chrysler 300C's are extra comfy inside. Ugly but comfy.

My personal favourite is the E32 7 series though, shit's Quite comfy inside, the seats are a bit hard though and there's no arm rest on the middle console, arm rests are usually on the seats though.

Citroens usually are comfy as shit too, check the C5's out. That hydro pneumatic suspension is fucking godly.

Gonna second Citroëns with hydropneumatics, nothing short of a Rolls-Royce will get you that amount of comfy.

Make sure nothing's wrong with the hydropneumatic system though, it's a fucking pain to fix because there's hydraulics lines running through the entire car.
>>
>>14909638
Seconded. The Phaeton is one of the comfiest cars I've ever driven.

Too bad everyone thinks it's just a very nice Camry at first glance.
>>
>>14909725
Well it kinda is a very nice Passat, in terms of styling at least.
>>
>>14909696
Cars after the BX had metal braided lines, mostly.
The "tits", those reservoirs are a bitch though as they have a habit of exploding every now and then, which means you lose all suspension pressure and the car becomes stanced as fuck.
They're a bitch to replace too.

Aside for that, I'm not sure if even a fucking RR can match citroens in ride quality. Thise things just plain dominate everything with the fancy as fuck suspension, that much I've got to hand to them.
>>
>>14909725
You mean very nice Passat? Either way I respect that, it's a well-made luxury car free of badgewhoring.
