"Stanced" cars are merely show cars, not race cars. It would be like trying to race in pic related, which very well may be the source of "stance".
>>
They have the same defining creed, even. Sure, to certain people it looks nice, and theres a following, but it's hardly practical.
>>
Is "stanced" the same thing as slammed?

Because they sure look fucking stoopit.
>>
>>14902603
Basically. There's no set definition, but you know it when you see it.
>>
>>14902603
The only difference is you don't raise your ride height with air pressure in "stanced" cars.
>>
>>14902573
The difference is hydraulics actually do something cool, while stance does literally nothing

when you realize all of /o/ is 12 and dont know shit

fyi modern luxury cars have computer controlled hydraulic or pneumatic suspension to aid in cornering like how sway bars help with cornering.

so its actually useful.
>>
>>14902714
what are you on about m8, a stanced car could run air or hydraulic suspension, a traditional lowrider could be static, that's besides the point
>>
>>14902573
But pic related started with a decent car, then added stuff that doesn't ruin it.

Stance is literally lowering cars to the point where the wheels won't grip and they don't have enough suspension travel to be driven at speed.

No
That's slammed.
Stance is more of a catch all term for how the car sits on the road. For example, rake, rear sagging. This is all part of stance. Imagine a line through the car parallel to the ground. You want the car to sit perfectly on on that line.

Yeah but a Fleetwood brougham has a corvette engine in it so you could probably race one of those
>>
I saw a cambering accident a couple months ago this guy's reals wheels splayed across the asphalt like it did the splits

Are you seriously defending that shit?

Modern stance based on VIP, or bippu has been around since the late 80s.

one of the first cultures that modified a car based on a certain look were the led sleds starting as early as the late 40s.
They would chop the roof, channel the body, recess the headlights, remove the badging, remove the trim, shave the handles, and slam the car to the ground.
