Cool. Slow but gets you around.
How much $?
>>
>>14899493
if your American then it would be around 2-3k. i had a 4 litre falcon but it was costing too much to run. i wonder how long it will take me before i want something with a bit more power lol.
>>
>>14899530
Embrace the shitbox.
Sounds like you paid a fair price though.
>>
fits are pretty fun for a shitbox and about as practical as you can possibly get
i believe the first gen fits take to turbos rather well too, and the whole thing weighs about as much as a miata which is impressive
>>
>>14899530

what.

>>
>>14899698
is that good or bad?
>>
>>14900010
no leaking. why would it leak?
>>
>>14900289
First gens had cheaped out on sealing.
>>
>>14899485
what year?

it's a good little buzzbox. abundant cheap parts and easy to work on the light vehicle. depends on the condition. if the oil isnt black and head isnt full of sludge, has good fuel economy and doesnt require a large amount of work to get roadworthy then it's a good buy.

even a base model old shitbox in qld goes for minimum 3k due to the retarded roadworthy laws here. it's practically impossible to buy a cheap shitbox. need to travel across the border for one.
>>
>>14900285
cheap estimate imo....arent they all like 06/7?
>>
>>14900304
>>14900289
save as much money as possible.
cheap rubber parts.
cheap seals
cheap bushings
>muh 5 year warranty
and then everything fell apart.
>>
>>14899485
vtec? or idsi?

if idsi
>yfw 8 plug for a 4 pot
>>
>>14900342

Also OP, I forgot to congratulate you on your buy. Honestly the earlier gens look a lot cuter.

I drove one. It was small and felt structurally weak. Handling felt disconnected too. I don't get the hype.

Who drives them in burgerland?

In the UK it's literally only old people. The average age of my town is like 20th highest in the UK, and it's like 1 in 6 cars is a Jazz and they're all driven by old people. I don't think I've ever seen someone below 60 behind the wheel of one. And if there is someone below 60, it's usually a 17 year old with L plates and their grandparent in the passenger seat.

When my nan's Jazz got written off after a crash, she replaced it with another Jazz

>Oh hey, it looks like a civic dash

As far as I know a bunch of stuff in it can be replaced with civic stuff from the same year set type stuff
>>
>>14899698
>sell Falcon for x
>buy Fit for x+3k
I'm pretty sure that's what OP did, no one would sell a newish Fit for that price and if they did OP got the bargain of a lifetime

Daily driver. I do about 300 miles a week commuting and I couldn't imagine a better car to do it in. So cheap to run and reliable.

I've been keeping a record of my trip mpg's between fill-ups and I'm averaging 54.65mpg currently without nursing it, always over the speed limit when traffic allows it. Power is lacking in the first few gears but when up to speed the torque is perfectly placed for 5th gear acceleration even from 25mph.

Check out the ecomodder forums, those guys love the D and L series Honda engines and any serious non-hybrid dirt cheap high mpg builds are based on one.

Bad parts;
Steering is pretty dead and the suspension is not suitable to hard cornering at all. Also it's very affected by wind but that just make sit a bit more exciting to drive.
It's maybe not the right car for someone who only owns 1 car, because it wont satisfy every need for a car enthusiast but it does exactly what it was designed for and it does it so brilliantly.

I drive a Fiesta. Way cooler looking than that piece of shit you bought. At least you didn't buy a Chevy Sonic so you didn't fuck up too bad
