Seems a bit unfair given that in the new real world test not only did no car pass (dotted black line) the VAG cars are well below the average emmisions (red line).
>>

I bet VW financed those purchases anyway
>>
>>14900939
This, the entire car industry is lying about the emissions, its more like VW is getting punished this hard because they got caught.

I think it was because it's provable it was done on purpose vs an 'accident' or they were unaware.

could also be the U.S. trying to keep the size of VAG in check for some reason.

time to buy some stock

>the death of small diesel

thank fuck
>>

$10 billion is nothing when they have $420 billion as assets.
>>
>>14901131
Given the emmisions from a Golf TDi ate less than a third of a Focus CDTi you can't belive Ford didn't know what was comming out the back was massivly worse.
>>
>>14900939
So the stance is punish the best performing companies?
>>
>>14901131
They all do it on purpose. The only thing VW did wrong, as I have said before, is getting caught first.
>>
My friend bought a used A3 diesel with in the last year. If he takes the buyout instead of the fix. He will get back more money then he spent buying and running the car. It will be like VW paid him to drive it. Then he will take the profit and buy a tesla model 3.
>>
>>14901223
$10 billion is a lot no matter who you are
>>
There's literally nothing wrong with the cars. VW is going to 'fix' them and they'll get worse MPG and make less HP and TQ.

The general public is retarded.

>Oh no they output 0.3g of CO2 more per mile than if they were tuned different!
Who. Fucking. Cares.
>>
>>14902954
They don't output more CO2 it's the nitrogen oxides that are slightly higher than they should be.
>>
>>14902929
If he bought it in the last year he won't be eligible for the buyout.
