Hi /o/
So I know a lot about 240s, I've been into them for a while and have been searching for one for about 3 months. However, it's really hard for me to find one that isn't a drift missle, molested, or beat to hell.
Recently the fox body has caught my eye. I love the boxyness and the spoiler. I found several unmolested around me for great prices. They're a lot more abundant is what it seems like.
Now I will always want a turbo i4 or i6, and popup lights. But I don't know much about carburetors or the v8 in the mustang. I don't plan on being a drift fag, but I like nimble cars.
Can anyone tell me the pros and cons of each? Also any information on the fox body would be much appreciated.

They're both cheap, rwd, easy to work on, and have a good aftermarket. What's not to like?

Post 85 is EFI. It's a different world, but not a bad one. The car doesn't have a lot of hp since its top end is gimped from the factory, but they're nice at lower RPMs. Sub frame connectors, a nice exhaust, and rear end gears are mandatory.
Then you will proceed to have a blast.
Nimble? Definitely not a fox body. Your problem is that you've been going for s13's which I'm assuming because you mentioned popups. It's easier to find an unmolested Kouki s14 than it is to find an unmolested s13. Just look for a nice kouki.

The foxbody seems extremely versatile. I've seen tons used to drag race or even for drifting. How is it not the god machine?

As a blank slate, it's not good at a lot stock. However, they are the kings of budget drag racing, they make cheap drift missiles with some steering mawdz, and if you want something that nobody will expect on the track or mountain roads, you can go insane and rework the entire suspension and have a corner monster.

That was always the Mustang's game. Buy a blank slate and modify to suit.

I know I would be sad for not getting the s13 if I got a foxbody. I have a major hard on for old nissans.

Just cause you read something here from bunch of people who have no experience with a rotary doesnt mean its true. I have an Rx7myself and if you treat it like shit and dont oil and properly maintain it then yes, obviously something will break but that is the case with any engine around.
