Picking up a 2010 Acura TSX for 10k
81k miles
I really want a bmw instead but people are saying this car is more "reliable".
>>14888882
Better be the V6
>>14888958
Why?
What would it be worth if it was the "2.4 4 Cylinder Engine"?
I have a 2014 tsx, gud car. With the K24.
>>14888970
jesus why would you even want the 2.4? save yourself from dissappintment and get the TL the 3.5 V6
>>14888970
Who cares, the chassis was made to handle the V6 more optimally. The 4 banger is just mediocre in this thing, it really needs the V6.
Remember, it's just a rebadged Accord.
>>14888976
K4?
What is that?
Sorry I just got into the whole car business
>>14888981
>rebagged
What does that mean? Was it altered?
Are you guys saying the car is not worth the value?
>>14889001
k
24
yeah nevermind fuck yoiu
if you want reliable and fun, an infiniti g35 or a lexus is350 is a better bet, dont get an is250 they're fucking gutless
>>14889001
K24 is the model designation of the engine
"rebadged" is a derogatory term for a car built on the same chassis. Acura is the upscale Honda brand, and the TSX is heavily based on the honda Accord, so a tsx is a "rebadged" accord
>>14889001
This is the same model year Honda Accord sold in Europe.
Look familiar?
You're literally buying an Accord. Not that there's anything wrong with that.
>>14889001
K24 is a motor.
Rebadged means the car is the exact same in many ways to another car.
In this case, Acura is not a real brand, just Honda with a different name and luxury features so that it sells better in North America.
So the Acura TSX is basically just a nicer Honda Accord.
>>14889035
>>14889028
Thank you
>>14889036
Well it's an "upscale" model of it, so that should be better I guess
Guys should I just get a V6 328i?
> Acura TSX
Does anyone have that faggy image of the hipster with the Acura?
>>14889050
BMWs are unreliable and have a stigma associated with douchebag tryhards. You're only going to attract vapid gold diggers.
Acura is in every single way a more practical choice, and the 3.5 V6 in the TSX is plenty fast.
>>14889054
>no one wanted to be friends with me until drove an Acura.
>now everyone wants to be my friend.
>>14889050
if you're this unversed in cars, i would not recommend a bmw. you'd need to take it to a shop for any problems and you'd be looking at $2000 in maintenance and repair costs, probably.
also, bmw uses inline 6 engines, not v6
>>14889050
Would not recommend the Bmw.
The TSX is a good choice, but if you want something in the same category, the is350 and the g35 are about the same.
>>14889074
is350 is so fucking good, holy shit, never breaks super omfy and it's fast as fuck for most people, goes 0 to 60 in under 5 seconds if i remember correctly.
unfortunately they look a little bland and they don't have that much interior space, plus a 2006 is350 is still like 12 grand used, but that just means they hold their value really well
>>14889092
If I bought a 2006 is350, how much longer can I expect it to last until they need to be repaired often? I like to buy cars and keep them for close to 10 years
>>14889104
oh it'll probably pass 200k on very little if any repairs, lexus stronk as fuck dude.
you still need to do maintenance though, such as
>engine air filters
>oil changes
>transmission fluid changes
>timing/serpentine belts
but a toyota dealer could do all of that cheaply, lexus is the luxury toyota brand after all
>>14889110
>but a toyota dealer could do all of that cheaply
>taking your car to a stealership for repairs
>>14889119
true, plenty of independent mechanics can work just fine on lexus/toyota products, go check on yelp
i just assumed OP would be scared of non-dealers
>>14889149
I am/was
Wasted 2k on my current car
Found out the job was only worth $500
Mercedes ;_;
>>14888882
God it's fucking ugly. And why a fucking 4 door sedan. Are you a dad? Do you have kids?
>>14889183
No, just a 21yo with 10k
the front looks cool.
I just hate the millage
>>14889183
What's wrong with 4 doors, faggot? It's nice to have when you want to hang out with sluts
>>14888979
>>14888958
Small penis detected
There is literally nothing wrong with the 2.4 and it's better for every day driving anyway.
Good car at a fair price, OP, assuming it's in good condition. I say go for it
>>14889183
do you know what a friend is faggot?
Alright guys, with everything said in the thread I've decided to get a g35 instead.
Now tell me for the last time, is this a good deal?
I'm driving 2.5hours to get it
>>14889249
please, please test drive the cars you're interested in, cars drive very differently and you should try them out to see what you like
>>14889249
The tsx is better for a fuckin idiot like yourself who knows NOTHING about cars
Your g35 is gonna burn oil and youl never realize until it shits itself and seizes on the freeway cause youre dumb as dogshit and buy cars based off what random fags on the internet shout at you
