I've only been riding for a few months. I feel like I'm ready to take on a passenger.
I don't want to take my girlfriend - she thinks I'm already an elite experienced rider and I don't want her to think I have no idea what I'm doing with her on the bike. I've been putting off riding with her because I haven't "found the right helmet for her," yet. I want to look like a pro, not some inexperienced first timer. I don't think a motorcycle is going to protect your spine, but most helmets that are 200 dollars or more are pretty secure and have been crash tested multiple times. I'm sure a bit of reviews can help you better, but a helmet is something you shouldn't be paying cheap on.

Not very, they have a very low top speed and when you ride them hard the batteries don't last at all. The range estimates they give get cut in half by riding it even a little hard.

I was jump starting my 1991 VFR750F. I when I hit the starter while my pickup truck was running, there was an immediate pop. Bike won't turn on.
I checked the R/R and fuses and nothing is burnt or popped.
Can a starter relay pop? The sound came from the middle of the bike right where the starter relay is.
