You did great OP, these cars are amazing, especially when Lexus was just starting at, they were being very creative with their designs and wanted to beat their rivals badly.
I'm a owner of a 98 SC400, it's fast, it's comfortable, rides really well, a lot of room for passenger and driver and not even too bad for the rear considering it's a coupe.
A lot of the aftermarket parts are pretty much Supra and anything engine related you can check LS400s for that since they have the same engine. From the looks of it you got a pre 98 SC400, which came with the 1UZ pre-vvti. Depending on the year, I believe pre 95 is a non interference engine, meaning the engine will still work even if the timing belt is broken.
You can look for more detail on lextreme.com about the engine if you're considering turbo.

Not sure how's the interior holding up, but if you don't have ripped seats then please take care of them because they actually do wear over time. Apply some Lexor conditioner and keep dirt away from it.

The SC430 is a convertible and weighs almost 1.8 tons.
The SC300/400 chassis was reused in the MK4 Supra, and in 1JZ form weighs 1.5 tons.

Except all 1UZs are 6 bolt mains and in 95 the street version got much weaker conrods that bend once you put more than 4.5psi through them with an Eaton M90.
The pre-95 ones will take 7psi all day.

Soarers are funny like this. JZZ30 came with (twin) turbo 1JZ and optional manual. JZZ31 was rebadged as the Lexus SC for the US market and only came NA 2JZ and auto.
UZZ3X was the NA V8 SC400. It was supposed to be a luxury barge.

I had a 1993 Lexus LS 400 which I loved, but sold because it was getting to the end of its life.
I've always wanted an SC 400, but the only ones I can ever find are in TERRIBLE condition. So much so that it's unbelievable. And they always need a ton of work.
