Well, no one really wanted to make a GT-Resque vehicle other than Nissan.
When the GT-R was first produced, it's price to performance ratio blew other competing new vehicles out of the water. Since then, their MSRP has skyrocketed, removing their reputation as the cheap supercar-killing alternative to R8s and the like.
The Pre-Facelift CBA-code cars are the cheap ones. Everything after those cars is expensive compared to its initial release and used prices.
It's just not worth it anymore, at least to me. I would rather have something more visceral and intense, rather than have so many computer assists. I'm not a lap time chaser, I work on cars and love driving them, I love improving my technique and times, but I'm not getting paid to get the best times out there, so I don't really care for a product that's not really meant for me.

How is this even possible? GTR is a 10 year old platform now... Maybe even older. Nismo is basically a package of the GTR which comes with - I'm guessing - different springs, body kit, new turbo, etc. So it's like a slight improvement over the original GTR. The corvette on the other hand is a completely new platform introduced in 2015... How the fuck can it still be slower than a 10 year old GTR? Is Nissan that far ahead of GM in terms of tech? When is GM going to catch up?
