I think a pacer would like cool lowered with a wider track, maybe fender flares, and a spoiler you see on Civics.

No meme. The Pacer was supposed to have a rotary engine supplied by GM from the start, but GM stopped rotary development, so AMC quickly stuck their straight 6 in. It would be interesting to see what could have been.

the 4.0 engine from a XJ cheep jerokee is a straight bolt in swap.
wiring does need to be redone.
or bolting in chrysler (australia) other option: mitsubishi 4G63 2 litre turbo. or a four cylinder jeep engine...
