i have no friends and im tired of sitting in my house all night alone
im going to drive around my city (new orleans) and just listen to music until i get bored and go home, probably before midnight.
i will leave at around 7 PM
anyone else do this?

I do this too - load up a playlist on my iPod and drive around town and down roads I normally down go. Maybe go through a late-night drive-through and do some sketching. Then try to make it back home without navigation.
Very relaxing and puts me in a good mindset.
Nah bored people everywhere do this. Same with going to bars alone.
I like exploring places locally or cities or towns I've never been to before, or I did back when I was unemployed and single.
Best outcome was a one-night stand from a bartender in some divebar in some remote town I drove to. Usually just drove around aimlessly or went to a bar and was ignored by everyone.

California here. Even at 1 AM there are still plenty of cars out in Santa Ana - while there are plenty of quieter places urban areas are more visually interesting to drive thorough.

It's nice to get out of the house, drive around in the dark, listen to music. Maybe drop the top down and have a cigarette or something.
Some people relax by reading or watching TV. I'd rather go out for a late night drive.

Hah I used to do this when I was younger. It was actually a really good way to consume music. Most other times you listen to music you are preoccupied with other stimulation going on around you. But in the car you just drive and listen. Great scenery really compliments the music too.
I used to load up full albums and burn them on discs and listen to them driving around like this. Pretty fun. You can also stop by a drive through and get snacks and ice cream and eat am in the parking lot before going back out on the road

New Orleans does not have the kind of traffic California has. I wouldn't worry about it, just don't expect to be able to drive at all in the quarter because of how many drunk people are in the streets on any given night.
A night drive around City Park is nice though, and there's a 24hr cafe there.

Not autistic at all. I cruise down unknown streets with my YouTube playlist set low. Sometimes I look for places with interesting lighting and take a few pics of my car. My favorite spots are two train station parking structures.
One has a really awesome view of the city and an airbase, I chill on the top floor and sit on the ledge, the silence is relaxing.
The second parking structure has an unknown gem sitting on the second and third floors, an immaculate collection of old European cars, rows upon rows of Porsches, Mercedes, BMW, Alfas, etc. I will walk for a half hour just snapping pics and admiring the collection.
I haven't done it in a while, but I feel like I need to tonight.

Very nice - Irvine's streets are silky excellent. Are there alot of hooners down there on weeknights? I hear them around Santa Ana all the time, but can't imagine how they are able to drive like that with all our foot deep drainage ditches carved right into the streets.

I stay away from Santa Ana mainly because the roads are shit.
Irvine is dead on week nights, rarely see anybody out there just for the sake of driving. Few cops are on patrol but mostly waiting for speeders. I usually hit a few secluded spots to do some donuts, but nothing too crazy.

A Fiero Formula - Ill sometimes head up through Sand Canyon Rd, occasionally down to Newport Beach, and sometimes around the new developments in the Portola Parkway area. I just go where I feel like really, no real plan.

No way, I drive down that area. IVC is close by and I frequent the Denny's on Sand Canyon during midnight hours.
Only a few weeks ago did I take Laguna Canyon rd down to the beach and headed North on PCH, very nice drive on weekdays.
A nice little donut spot is at the end of technology drive. It's a business park area and it's dimly lit.

I should check it out - somehow I missed Laguna Canyon when scouting for places to go. Santiago Canyon Rd is nice too - kinda spooky especially if you go up through Silverado at 2 AM - real change in scenery.
The drive along PCH to Seal Beach is pleasant too

Whenever I cruise down there, I always see the signs for Key West on US-1 saying "Key West- 90mi" and I forget the 35mph-45mph speed limits the whole way. And you can't really speed through those towns.

I love that route, either side of the fork is a blast. I favor live oak canyon though.
Santiago is sketchy even in the morning. I drove down there around 5-6 AM and it was freezing. Near the end of the route my windshield completely fogged up and I could only see through the bottom. I'll have to try both at night for sure.

Its all diet. Just stop eating bad food, even opportunistically. Keep rice in the fridge, reheat in microwave with veggies and a wet piece of paper towel on top (under a lid) for a month or two and youll drop pounds. Get protein mixing eggs in rice.
