I agree that manuals are more fun to drive in cheap beaters, and sometimes I wish I had a manual, but with 600+hp and .09 second shifts, cranking throug 1-2-3 in 5 seconds feels damn good. My girlfriend drives a manual, and she makes jokes about it sometimes, but after she drove me car, she understands that DCT driving-dynamics-wise can't be beat. There are pros and cons, but the pros outweigh the cons.
