Turbo diesel.
Turbo is what most guys do. The new Procharger centrifugal supercharger units are pretty nice, though. They're self-contained, so there's a lot less hassle to installing them. Plus their warranty is really good.

Strong H/C/I combo coupled with an aggressively pullied centrifugal blower.
Yeah sure turbos have an intoxicating pull that seems like it'll never stop but the centrifugal blower and H/C/I combo is an animal in the way it rushes to the redline. The blower's increasing boost as revs rise complements a hot small block's acceleration rate all out of proportion to the way it looks on paper.
tl;dr turbo's are great but centri's are fun as hell
