I'll keep it short and sweet.
My oil light has been beeping for almost a year. A few hours ago the flashing light stayed on, and my car engine began to sound like a motorcycle.
The car mentioned is a 2003 PT Cruiser with 155,905 miles on it.
Got it towed back to my place, filled the empty tank with oil, and now it still purrs like a moderately quiet boat, and I can still drive it to a limited degree.
What do I do? How fucked am I?

Scrap the car and never drive again. A bus pass seems more up your alley.

Keep driving til it stops. A pt cruiser with 150k miles is already living on borrowed time

change filters, brake pads, spark plugs, tyres, fluids (including oil obviously).

I mean I'm assuming you've just not had any maintenance done to the car...ever.
>>
Don't invest anything more in this car. Start used car shopping.

Just scrap it and buy a Nissan.

OP here again. Drove it to my mechanic, he said the entire engine needs to be overhauled, the suspension is shot, it damaged Alot of the electrics, and my suspension is heavily damaged. It'll be a $15,000 repair, which I thought was cheap considering.
Problem solved.

Sorta related
>drive company truck for work
>oil change hasn't been done for 2 years
>tell manager I need to get the service done
>"you haven't hit 15,000 miles yet it's fine
Oil is black trucks running hotter than usual
Oh well if it explodes I get a new truck

C'mon, you can come up with less obvious bait than that.
