Because every single component of my car would have to be upgraded to take that much power.
Also I don't own a hoist or have a garage to work in.

My volvo is toasted, I'm going to fix it but In the mean time I'm looking for a camaro or something so I can save money on more horsepower. I'm looking at 3 grand CAD or so to get my volvo from 250 to 400 horse. You throw that kind of money at a 2nd gen 350 and you're looking at close to 5 or 6 hundred horse.
>>
>LS swapped zx3

I mean, I know there's a 5.0 swap kit but has anyone done an LS yet?

>>
You're welcome to try.

And then make it through inspections.
>>
>>14839684
>pigfat
All aluminium, single cam. It's the lightest you could possibly get for that displacement.

>>14839695
Chevy in a Ford is great to piss off purists though. Besides, LS' are the best option for a Foxbody.
>SBF isn't aluminium
>BBF is pigfat
>>
>>14839706

Im almost finishing doing a swap into my S13.. on the scales the LS1 is LIGHTER then my KA-T... sure the long blocks wieght the same almost, but then you have to account the weight of the piping, the turbo, intercooler, etc.. that shit adds up and it sits right on the most front of the car.

If anything the car will handle BETTER.

Also, did I mention no matter what you do to a KA, it will never make almost 300tq at idle. The power and response of the V8 is unmatched.

a 302 ford engine with aluminium heads at max is 20 - 40 lbs heavier than an aluminium LS
>>
>>14839588

>>
Because my car won't pass smog with it
>>
>>14839806
Second gen Hemi is pigfat.
Third gen Hemi is superior in power and airflow, but is slightly heavier, are less available, and they're not available as alloy blocks. Then again, there's a reason the Hellcat is stronger than the LT4. If FCA'd just make them out of aluminium....

>>14839816

If I'm buying something new it will be a Gen 3 hemi

Yeah, max HP for a few runs after a rebuild, thats what tells the potentional of an engine?

Oiling is true.
Distributor a shit.

>>14839996
There's 1 Mod motor running 2500hp.
Meanwhile, Nelson is offering 2500hp crate engine packages. Basically production engines.

The only thing that Modular has going for it is a good set of tuners, the sturdiest internals ever offered on a Mod, and of course huge amount of luck. You cannot replicate those results.
