/o/, what should I do with my money?
>Get bike license and bike
>Get an old Kart running

I'm leaning towards the kart. My stepfather has 2 90's karts, both tony karts I believe. 1 100cc single speed and 1 125cc 6speed. I would be working on the 125 one

i vote kart

>>14839202
I'm kinda scared tho. I heard that that kart used to do 180+kph on our local kart track.
>>
>>14839217
And?

Well if you fancy dying just go for the bike
>>

Nigga have you ever karted?
Fun as FUCK.
Motherfucking Ayyyyrton Senna said he misses karting over Formula 1.

Plus, you get to experience fun without as much possibilities of being an organ donor than on a bike.

>>14839322
I only karted on those shitty rental karts, and it was fun as fuck, so I can only imagine what a propper one will be like

I'm specially involved lately, because I started building one for one of my classes.

Mine is more off road-ish, with frontal suspension and the like, but as soon as that's done I'm building a track go kart frame and swap all the usable parts.
>>
>>14839341
what's it been like? And how much of a money sink has it been?
>>
>>14839217
Shifter karts with the right gearing on very fast tracks can do that. You won't necessarily be running a 125cc or 250cc two stroke.
>>
>>14839341
Don't build a track frame, buy one.
>>14839352
Karts are a gigantic moneysink. They need ridiculous levels of maintenance compared to a car or dirtbike.

Get a used TaG 125

if you have the money, kart for sure. that's a dream hobby of mine.

Motorcycles are pretty cool as well and very fun, but in my opinion there are too many dipshits on the road and you could get killed pretty easily even if you have really good traffic etiquette and awareness. Even with that though, the fun you can have on a bike might still slightly outweigh the risk being turned into roadkill. Utimately that's your judgement to make.

but man, if you could get a nice kart setup and can afford to be competitive in it, the glory of doing well in an organized race event is a mouth watering prospect (for me at least)

I'm not sure about racing, at least for now. My stepfather used to go to the track on the weekend on "free practices" and just lap, and that's what I would do, at least when just starting. But yeah, I'd love to race

Sorry mate, had to go out.
I didn't explain myself.
I'm building one from scratch, like, welding the whole chassis and stuff. And its recreational, not for racing.
It's been fun, and I've spent around $300 USD, buying a cloned GX200 6.5hp engine with electric start, a torque converter (more like CVT), steel pipes, welding supplements and a couple tools.

I know mate, racing frames are a totally different matter, but I meant a low to the ground, on slicks, no suspension kind of frame. Recreational use as well, not for track. Unless the local track owner is crazy enough to let me kill myself on his lands.

I can only imagine the fun id have if I took my 2 stroke dirtbike motor and 6 speed and put it in a cart. 200cc of fury.
