>2.2
The EJ22 is bulletproof, you're thinking of the 2.5 version of that car
>>14839010
work as a valet see alot of 4cyl versions well into 250,000 plus so must be good..slow as shit boring and most are in horrendous condition but they last
>>14839108
Still see plenty of these about here in the UK. Usually older drivers.
Pic related my car K11 Micra. Cockroach of the car world
Xj Cherokee
This will seriously run forever
The only car in the world that can make a W123 nervous.

yeah, if you literally take out the engine ever 10k miles to change the headgasket.
Nissan Bluebird.
This was the car of choice for ram raiders because you could fit four mates in it, drive it through a shop window then back out and still escape from the police by goong straight through walls.

wat.
>>14839010
Currently 280000 miles on mine

>memeing dumbass with no actual experience: the post
It's only the 96-04 2.5L engines that have rampant headgasket issues. Everything else will only need gaskets as often as inline engines would. A 2.2 has zero headgasket issues. Even then, the gaskets on 2.5s fail between 130-200k. Mine didn't need them until 176k.
I don't think any other truck would've survived 21 years and 500 000+ kilometres of abuse than the two MK5 HiLuxes we have at my job
>>14839010
I had one. I abused the fuck out of it. Ran it with the oil light on for forever. Blew out tires driving it through dirt fields. Rallied it down backroads in the stupidest of fashions. Got it up to 120-130 on the interstate more than anyone should have. Slammed it into gear and shifted it like I was racing.
It was my most abused car ever, and it still worked great when I sold it. Overall, great first car.

500k km's over 21 years is nothing. Most North American fleet vehicles rack that up in under 4 years.
a benz 240D 4-speed will last forever, when forever finally comes.. the 240D will have reached 60 mph.
>>14839067
yea thats a joke
/thread
I don't think a more well-built car has ever existed...
Except newer LSes.
Owned a Lexus es 300 '99, '03 and '10. Lost two to accidents (FL and NY) but that '03 is going stron still. Onlh chamged engine mounts and tie rod ends.
>>14839258
FFS, how hard is it to at least spraycan that shit.
Sure, they don't rust in the desert, but would hurt my eye as an owner.
Fucking brown people.

Anything with a 12 valve Cummins in it. Tab your KDP, replace your injectors once, and don't fuck with your fuel plate and your going to hit 300k and still have life to go. The engine will outlast the truck.
My CV is sitting at 329k. Original engine and trans. Bought it at 210k, owner was very anal about maintenance so I followed the tradition.
Trans flushes every 30k or every year. Pennzoil High Mileage and Mobil 1 filter every 3k or 6 months.
Tune-up every 50k.
Every time I needed a part that I couldn't find in stores I'd go to the junkyard where all the other crown vics were sitting at least 200k mi +
>>14839010
Probably the geo metro.
Whats a 300zx like for reliability?
So it's settled then? 01 Camry for MROAT?
>>14842832

w123
There's literally no other car than can be as reliable as that.
There are loads of them with more than a million kms.
>>14839194
nothing will work on that car except the engine.
>>14839336
Not gonna lie these fuckers are never available for picking at the junkyard

The whole Japanese reliability thing doesn't really apply to their sports cars, especially not old turbocharged ones. You can get a much better BMW for just a little bit more than a Z anyway, 300zx's have a huge ricer tax.
I have a 2001 Camry at 58000 miles. The exterior looks like shit and the check engine light is always on due to some emissions BS.
How much longer can I get out of this car?
