thoughts on the Ridgeline? A family member sold me a 2006 and I like it, what's the general consensus on it?

Not a truck guys so I don't know much about them, but it looks nice.

Congrats on the new ride!

It's a Honda Odyssey with the body vaguely cut into the shape of a truck.
It's not a truck.

neighbor has two. junk with a mini van engine and minivan chassis and parts. ugly interior weird proportions

Some solid 7 qt at my gym drives one, too much of a pussy to talk to her.

If you don't plan on doing much heavy work/off-roading with your truck and want 4 doors, just like most truck owners, the Ridgeline is the best truck you can have.

But people buy Ram crewcabs regardless because muh truck.

It's reliable. That's about the only thing I can say about it. It's got a 6 cylinder engine that puts out the power of a 4 cylinder and gets the gas mileage of an 8 cylinder.

The interior is built with a work truck in mind, so it's really 'ruggedized' for lack of a better word. It's extremely basic, even on higher trimmed models.

It really makes all the sacrifices needed for a vehicle to be a truck, but it gets almost non of the benefits. It's really perplexing honestly.

They're nice but be prepared for the transmission to go out after 100k

I like my dad's Ridgeline. The compartment under the bed is neat and the two-way tailgate is useful.

I think it does fine off-roading. Not like moab, but it is a Honda Pilot so not horrible.

Its not a work truck, but imagine will do anything a suburbanite could ask of it. The only real issue I could see is if you have a bed full of something heaving nad you get a flat tire. I'm not sure if they have addressed that since it first came out.

I considered the ridgeline and avalanche as i needed a bed for hauling, and a nice interior for family, ended up with a SUV and utility trailer instead.
