So low mileage used units of the current generation 328i have fallen into the $17,000 range in my area.
Really considering upgrading from my old C-Class to one, but just how astronomically unreliable are new BMWs?
Never had one, but everyone on /o/ says they are very astronomically unreliable. That said, I'd buy one if I had the cash
E9x 335i is a better car all around.
Especially if you go for a 335is

It's a non turbo so it shouldn't be bad, and the reliability ratings on current models are better than the last gen E60 and E90, but that being said-
You're going to spend a fair amount of money on a relatively boring and pedestrian car that makes you look like you're a normie faggot who bought one of the lowest trims of a luxury car just for the badge. Especially if it has an automatic transmission.
You can get a facelifted E46 M3 for about the same price and it'll be much faster, much more engaging to drive, and it'll hold its value much better.
