I need the CHEAPEST BUILD CAR possible as im only 19 now and need a car to build up for weekend fun outside my college. This is gonna be some haggard garage type shit where I will be buying a car for like $1000 or something. I just need help deciding what to get. Any help will be appreciated.
Rules: No buying shells or broken cars I need to fix, cause the labor costs will be more than the car is worth.

If you're looking to buy a car for 1000 dollars to beat on I'd just choose a durable brand, make sure it has a stick shift and not too much rust. Not much you can ask for in that price range that's not going to already or very nearly need repairs.
Lancers come in pretty cheap and one with 160k miles on it feels new.
Probably needs new brake pads and you should readjust the handbrake.
Also when buying something this ceap make sure to check the brake lines so you dont end up like my wagon
