What would you do?
I'm thinking this is beyond repair. Maybe sell as is? How much should I expect to get around? Part out? What do you guys suggest?
Both axles are fucked just from looking at the right side.
Maybe you can get $100 for its weight in steel at the junkyard.

If the engine and trans are good I would pull them, what you do afterwards is up to you, ID personally keep it for a future project like swapping it into a Miat or something, part out the rest and see what scrap will give you for the wrecked sheet metal

What i would do is take the agreed value from the total the insurance will give me for the car and let them auction it off to be parted out by a seller in the future before it's scrapped.

This, but I'd ask them what the buyback value is. If it's seriously junked like this car, it may be what a scrapyard would pay, which is really low right now because the price of raw materials is low.
You might be able to buy it back for under a grand, pull the good parts, sell the hulk to a junkyard for like $60, and get most of your money back ebaying the interior bits, leaving you with a motor and trans for a Lotus 7 Replica.

No need to be butt hurt about other good cars existing.
But the miat is so much cheaper because it has nowhere near the power of an s2000. And it doesn't respond nearly as well to boost among other little things that make me prefer it.
I like miatas just fine, but that doesn't mean the s2000 is overpriced. Even a boosted Miata would have a hard time keeping up with a stock s2000.

Speaking of this, is there a drop-in solution yet to painlessly getting things like the tac, speedo, and so on working when doing absurd incompatible swaps like that?
You would think there would be something you can just bolt onto just about any engine I'd think something like that could be done digitally with a sensor and an inputting of the gear ratios. Obviously probably wouldn't be exact since you might not have the actual wheel speed or engine speed depending on where it is, but close enough?
Same with like getting headlights and such working. Is there some fits-all hub that you can just attach to the battery, and have different wires connected to different switches for your headlights, highbeams, wipers, etc?
