When I worked for dominos I had this idea of instead of running it out of a shop, we could have an RV sort of thing doing laps of the city, mopeds could dock while in motion to load orders, that way we will be pretty close different parts of town and could time orders for maximum effiency.
My boss though it sounded dumb.

Dominos are clearly making too much of a profit with their pizzas if someone somewhere thought it would be a bad idea to simply buy a fleet of small cars and put electrically heated storage boxes in the trunk, and that instead it would be much better to buy a fleet of small cars and then proceed to completely ruin their resale value by cutting side hatches into them.

There's a few in my town but not at the closest Dominos to my store. I don't think they're catching on yet.
I think it's unnecessary personally. Now, if they could have an actual oven that cooks it on the fly then that'd be something. Not sure how they'd do it, but I imagine it would really cut down on pizza wait time.

Where I live like 95% of all food delivery jobs are being done with scooters, always from a fleet owned by the store.
