Plugged a cheapo ebay bluetooth obd2 into my car, forgot to remove it before turning it off and going into the store. Came back and started up, something in the bcm, pcm, or tcm didn't like it and sent my car into limp mode and threw about 12 codes. Read message boards where people blew their control modules, luckily after unplugging and taking off my negative cable for a while I've had no problems since.
