How would I go about swapping a Lycoming engine into a Subaru?
It's the same as a boxer, just with 6L of displacement

Good luck finding a transmission that will fit and can withstand its torque.

You do know that those things redline at 3000 RPM, right?

Dad is building an airplane, has a lycoming io-360 360 cubic inch h 4 aircooled. pretty fucking cool imo. but your not gonna like the power band. youll pretty much need a 10+ speed trans if your gonna do anything better then your stock engine package.

no more torque than any other 6.0

They designed these like 50 years ago and the've barely changed since.
Also, they take 100 leaded octane avgas.

this, this nigga could put an allison automatic in or something and be crusing around town drinking a slurpy, pls do this with an old 7 series like my car or an old s class or anything with the space for it

very carefully... the lycomming engine was already used in a car. it came out in the tucker. its not the same as any boxer engine becase they are normally used in hellicopters specifcally the howard hughes (hueys) and now the being a aircraft engine the parts wont be cheap.
