It's fun to watch but I don't take it seriously and wouldn't attempt 90% of the things they do on my my own car.

If anyone thinks they're about affordability they are retarded. On basically every project that has involved anything more than simple mods they've had professionals do the heavy work.
I still like the show though because watching the pro's work is fun and they seem really enthusiastic about the whole scene.

Until they ran out of the minor changes and got onto actual proper power mods and had to get help.
Some things they're not wrong about though - you CAN turbo an mx-5 on your own if you are prepared to put in some work which is why I don't get why they jewed out on that one and tried to pretend like it was an affordable self-turbo.
I used to make fun of them, especially after that thing where moog came here to shitpost, but recently I've liked a lot of their videos recently.
Even if they're not the most knowledgeable guys in the world watching them do back to back projects is pretty nice. Especially with the banter.
I'm also glad they didn't make it their full time job and go full paywall like certain other car channels on youtube.

Then they tried to sweep it under the rug by blanket banning anybody from /o/ on their forums and claiming that neither of them post on any other sites.
It's an entertainment show for car people. Take it for what it is. Some of you sound like the cunts who bitched about Top Gear not having sensible car reviews. There's plenty of other channels that feature more tech talk. Including mcmtv2 featuring the Stagea build.
They have their moments. Anything I'm not into I skip. Like the whole S2k build. But I followed the Stagea build entirely. They have great chemistry. It's obvious they're mates dicking about with cars. In the same way the Top Gear trio were. Something that'll be absent from the reboot with Evans.
As for not doing cheap shit mods to cheap shit cars anymore, Moog covered both their thoughts and feelings on that in video Q&As and in a post on Facebook. However this current challenge is a return to that format. And I'm really hoping they follow through with the Moog & Marty vs Yoda & Stig build off. Should be good to see what they do with two complete piles of shit.
