So I've been hearing /o/ say a lot of shit against the Supra. This is one of the best cars ever made in history, it's fast, it's fun.

You can increase HP by a shit ton and still use it as a daily and don't forget the value is high because it's actually a good track car. Overrated though? Not at all. You can release it's potential at anytime.

Cool, not banned. OK, price is true, a good supra in original condition will sell for that price. Or one that has been worked to a over 500hp.

While they make similar or less power as a v6 Nissan, those engines also have half a litre of extra displacement, and probably don't make the same torque. And, the ease of making power with a supra. Wind up boost for starters and get plenty of extra power. And that's with just a new boost controller.

I have. And its a 2000-2001 kai engine. 2jzs were from 93 onwards and stopped in 2000. Maybe a better comparison would be an engine around the same years? And yes, the same displacement not the 3.5 correct.

I'm not sure I understand this. I'm from Australia so finding a TT Supra is easy and if push came to shove importing one is not that difficult.

The base supras had a 51:49 weight balance. That's nearly perfect.

the 2jz-GE is the non turbo used in IS300, GS300, SC300, Supra non turbo, ect ect. The 2jz-GTE is the twin turbo version used in the Supra and maybe some Japan only sedans. The GTE makes ~300 hp and torques, the GE makes ~220 hp and torques.

That's all from memory, so I'd look up the 2JZ-GTE on wikipedia if you want solid numbers

We've got them here in Australia and it's overrated. A good car and can be made stupidity quick in a straight line but it's not the greatest thing ever. Also the back seats are useless.

had a 2jzge supra when i was 18, they were good cars. Obviously not as good as the TT, but for a non turbo, non vvti (mine was not vvti as later models were), they were a lot of fun.

bigger tyres, brake swap from a TT and some semi cheap coilovers with the torsen lsd made a great track car that was legal for P Platers (not allowed to drive turbo or v8 etc)
