Work with the public defender, take the case to resolution, and weigh your options. If you get a favorable outcome, take the deal. It will probably be something like "improper lane change" and/or other charges.
If you don't like the outcome, fire your public defender, continue out the case, and get a better lawyer.

It's unlikely that a prosecutor will drop any of the charges. It's up to you to fight it.
