/o/ I know nothing about cars and have only started taking driving lessons. I do have an interest in cars and some motorsports.

Is /o/ the worst place possible for me to lurk and try learn something? Would you recommend I go somewhere else?

I'm already feeling like rwd is simply best and a twingo wouldn't be a bad purchase. What do I do?

Some old ass jaguar would be a great car for you. Cheap but still luxurious, roaring v12, stunishing looks, great to get some pussies.

You should get an old MG roadster as your first car.

RWD fun, superior feels to a Miata and cheaper to buy/run.

>actually taking that post seriously

Holy fuck, you really are clueless.

And no, it really wouldn't, road tax for cars registered before 2001 is set at 230 quid annual for engines over 1.5.
As long as you're 21 or older insurance also should be cheap.

See this is what I mean, I didn't really think they were serious about an xjs but it is a nice car

You should definetely look into getting a Porsche 944 as your daily.

Fun, affordable and rwd!

drive

Stop over-analysing. Be one with the car.

>>14789747
Pretty much this. Know the rules of the road and just drive. Stay relaxed.

light a candle at your local church
either that or bring some kind of weapon to threaten the instructor

MGB is nice but a Triumph GT6 is better :)
>>
>>14789731
Do your test in a market town test centre. If they still exist the hardest traffic situation you will face is a mini roundabout with no one on it.
>>
>>14789830

Are there any test centres in the Highlands or Outer Hebrides?
>>
>>14789789

Prefer the Sunbeam Rapier H120 Fastback, myself, more space than a GT6, nicer looks, and more rear legroom than an MGB/MGC.

Although, that Triumph 6, what an engine.

I'll probably get old 1.6 saxo

SportKa. Then when you're done with it and have moved onto bigger and better things you can take it rallying.

practise with someone, it cuts down the number of lessons you need. i did 13 hours of lessons i think.
>tfw used to live in arse end of nowhere in scotland but ended up doing my test in a city that hates cars

>>14789657
i thought about getting one as my first (own) car but did the sensible/boring thing in the end and got a mx-5

Well, just so you know: Everyone here thinks he's the only one to actually deserve to be here while everyone else is just a pathetic loser.
