Are you prepared to tell the sweet prince goodnight?
Yeah, their cars were under-powered, but they were fun to drive and I don't know many companies that supported the aftermarket like Scion has.
>sucks that your 16-25 year old target demographic is out of town tonight, Toyota
>maybe I could be your demographic tonight
Toyota screwed Scion up straight from the beginning. It should have been the experimental brand they touted it to be, but it ended up being some weird offshoot that didn't produce anything remotely interesting or sports oriented other than the FR-S.

Excuse me

Looks like a UPS truck raped an HHR and then when the HHR found it it was pregnant it tried to self-abort in the third trimester so its parents wouldn't find out.

The scion has never made this anon feel more than a passing arousal. The kind of genital stirring that is easily attributed to a slight breeze. Never have I felt attracted enough to put actual effort into masturbating myself on their wares.
>>14786609
This rape analogy is a descriptive way to discuss the experience my eyes communicated to me upon their focus on whatever the fuck that is.
>>14786567
Dam!

Scion was just a failed business experiment by Toyota. The big thing here is that it was meant to be their experimental division - design cheap quirky cars and if a few models didn't do so hot, 'oh well', keep going.
Problem was that when they hit it big with the xB (in terms of sales), management suddenly lost their shit and turned back into just 'make and sell boring cars'. The second gen xB is the evidence of being stuck in a 'dont fix what aint broke' mentality, which doesn't work when you have to constantly design new interesting cars to keep the attraction of a fickle market
Once they assigned the 86 to be a scion you knew they had run out of internal ideas and were basically scraping the barrel

It looks like Jake the dog.

nothing seems to ruin the things of importance more than chasing the inflation of ones liquid assets.
tis a shame.
>Hey why isn't this company that specializes in making purposely ugly cars making money
Who could have guessed?
>scion
>>14786567
>>14786508
I always wished they would have made a turbo'd awd tC. Instead, it remained a pathetic and gutless corolla in high heals
The weeb in me causes me to always mispronounce Scion as "Siscon"
How is it pronounced? Sigh-On?
>>14786967
Yep
>>14786967
You do realize that "scion" is an actual English word, right?
>>14786987
>scion
>sion
>a transliteration of zion
>>14787090
>Middle English sioun, from Old French cion, of Germanic origin; akin to Old English cīth sprout, shoot, Old High German kīdi
Quite the opposite, actually.
Honestly, I've been waiting for Scion to die. The whole purpose is to make gay hipster versions of Toyotas. It's about time. Have you even seen the facelift for the Toyota 86? Now you don't have to be embarrassed for buying a Scion.
>>14787106
so just like every other english word then
Been digging the rear quarter glass on the latest genTc. Almost makes me want to buy one on that sharp edge alone.
>>14788421
The perfect rear-quarter glass for ants
So is Toyota going to sell the 86 in the states now? Because if so that pleases my dick.
>>14790930
Yea, properly badged as 86 now too. No more FR-S shit
>>14790930
Yes but it's going to be the Toyota 86 not GT86 like everywhere else.
>>14790930
Dear lord I am diamonds.
>>14786508
i was honestly surprised that they stuck around for as long as they did. I thought it was going to be one of those pointless flash-in-the-pan exercises in badge engineering and brand image and that they would shutter their doors by the end of their third year.
>>14786508
Scion was basically Toyota going "we want the Need for Speed Underground audience"
>>14791583
But they were already pulling that in with what they had before Scion?
RIP
>>14794109
>dttmomsea
>>14786508
Maybe if they didn't build shit cars that required cosmetic features to be good then they would have been good cars.

>The Dodge Neon was the best starter car.
