It is, stock. The car in ops pic has a heavily modified 2.3 with 12.5:1 compression, worked head, big cams, cosworth intake manifold and a lot of other goodies.

Little thing I'll like to share with other Focus owners.
If all the shit on your liftgate is fucked up, look at the wiring harness behind the center brake light between the liftgate and the body. Lolbritishengineering decided to leave no slack with a tight 180-degree turn in an area and in time it dry rots and cables short and break. This happened one night where everything that turns on with the taillights just shorted out (ironically exactly as a headlight burned out, so I'm screaming down the highway at night with only one headlight) and me and my dad had to completely cut and replace each wire as they don't make that harness anymore. We used thicker cables and left a fuckton of slack. Haven't had a problem since.

Probably the slowest car I have ever driven. Forget about overtaking anything.
The seating position was fucked because the pedals were offset.
The air vents were in a shit location and the high beam was on a toggle switch which is a shit design.

Yep. Fixed mine the other day. 3rd brake light wouldn't light up any bulbs that I knew were recently replaced. One wire was totally cut, another was showing bare copper. I was lucky and I was able to splice mine with a crimp connector, but if it breaks again I'm going to have to run new wires. I've since started using my liftgate much less often if I can help it.

In short, the first gen Focus is my favorite FWD car of all time. I think they're handsome little econoboxes and if I could DD one the rest of my life I'd be fine. No person who is not a contractor or some weird shit needs anything more than this for a daily driver. If you can't fit your family's needs into a ZXW at most you have too many crotchfruits.

I'm driving it for now while I wait for my new car.
It's very nice to drive, very satisfying shifting gears and clutch. However, it just doesn't have enough power. When I take off in 1st, I won't get anywhere before I have to change to second. Makes it a pain if I want to get in front of people.

My girlfriend had a '00 Focus. It was totaled in an accident. I miss it so much because that car fit her so well. Cute and small. I don't know why I fell in love with the thing I hated the economy focuses until I met her. It wasn't as fast as my Jetta, but it was still fun to drop her off at work or school and continue my day in the thing. It was junky on the inside before she met me, and I cleaned it for her and washed it as well. I used to love parking next to her whenever we meet up somewhere, or tailing it whenever we are driving somewhere. I cried for both the car and my girlfriends saftey the day it was totaled.
She replaced it with a '13 fiesta, and it's just not the same man.
