Hey /o/ I recently bought a 1988 mustang LX roller (no motor no trans) off of craigslist for $950. Any recommendations on what drop in for the tranny and engine, as well as what do with the car in general? Also recent craigslist buys thread.

Wouldn't he just grenade a T5 if he ever started making any power/hooning?

You know that this will have been driven hard right?

Only do this if the boat you have to trade has been previously sunk...

This right hurr. Rebuild it before to goes in with a good cam, slap an Explorer head on it then a Chinese bolt on turbo kit then blow it up and do it again.
>>
>>14782748
>put a big block in it
Sure would fit easier than that modular garbage.
>>
>>14782648
do something different m8.
t5, lsd, fat sway bars, etc all the normal
but put in a volvo b5234t, 5 cylinder turbo, build it a bit before you put it in

motor can be found fairly cheap, heaps of aftermarket, and extremely unusual

Did you get a clean title?

FIX IT YA LAZY CUNT
>>
>>14782648
I'd say a same generation 5.0, swap the heads, cam it, swap the intake manifold, straight pipes and let 'er rip. Foxybody mustangs and their respective engines have great aftermarket support, stick to the KISS method and hoon your lil' heart out, champ.

That's a pretty damn good deal if it's not rusty. I picked up my rusty 1990 Legacy hoon mobile for a grand with a myriad of problems

Properly drove it like he stole, or trying to blow engine.

26B is the only answer
>>
>>14783855
Why would he swap in a Volvo 3ngine, a huge and very difficult project when he could put in a 351 without even changing the mounts?
>>
>>14783553
Meh. You can break them if you try but they only cost like $50 and you can swap one in 15 minutes.

You probably could have had a running foxbody for 1200, why would you pay 950 for a roller
