Thoughts on the Suzuki Samurai?
I drive my mother's old one.
It's been 100% reliable for me, a lot of Jeep drivers come up to me and ask me about it, and it feels like a deathtrap if you go above 60 in it.
It's slow as fuck, but you don't really expect to be overtaking people with it.
must be hard to get one since I heard merchants fear the samurai

I'll admit that it gave me a good chuckle
Fun little cars. Terrible on the road, surprisingly capable off it. Super simple to work on, surprisingly reliable, rusts like the Titanic and about as slow as a diesel Saab with a broken turbo
Came over one today while picking some parts for my Merc

Looks cooler than the sidekick/tracker, but slower, thirstier, more expensive and less powerful
Should I pull the trigger?
Shit is MINT, probably one of the the best shapes in North America.
Asking 3400, so 3000 USD. Wouldn't consider it but it's expertly maintained

Dude, that's a Sidekick, not a Samurai.
It's got the factory hard top which is nice, front caps are missing I guess because it's a 4wd so you can get at the hub locks, old american racing? aftermarket wheels. Unmolested. No lift. Front cover might be to hide paint nicks. If it has less than about 200,000 km on it and everything works on the inside, it's not a bad price.
The hard top alone raises the value by $700-900.

Also I can see the rust on the rocker trim. Mint my ass. Check underneath for rust. That thing has definitely spent a lot of time up north.

an small, light and fun off-road vehicle, more capable than many bigger and more powerful ones. Cheap to mantain and quite reliable, but slow as fuck and a gas guzzler on roads.
im fixing up my dads old rally version

Qt
Pretty good off road, but unpleasantly tippy at high speeds
IT'S GUD
