What are some cars that actually had covers underneath the engine? I know Porsches and some Infinitis did, what else?
Audi, Mercedes, Ferrari, Maserati, pretty much any expensive car that's guaranteed to leak oil, that way the owners don't know that the cam and front cover seals are already bad at 3k miles

My 01 M3 has a plastic one and an aluminum one right after it.
Only oil leak I've had in 5 years was from the timing chain collar screw that went into the side of the head. Backed out and caused a slight leak.
