I appreciate it as being one of the last true drivers cars that opted to stay true to it roots rather than follow the meta of lolflappy paddles and hybrid motors. Sure it could be faster, sure it could have been changed to fit what the modern rich fuck who only drives to cars n coffee on a sunday wants to spend money on but it wasn't. Some how the Viper in 2016 was able to stay at the least remotely close to what it originally was which was a horrible loud overheating dangerous motor on wheels that had no real purpose for existing besides saying fuck you. The car will always be one of my favorites ever made.

Oh, lets not forget in ACR trim it's fast as fuck an laughs at million dollar hybrid super cars.

That's not how it works. If that were true for every engine design we'd be seeing 1 liter engine revving to 20,000. Power starts to fall off at the top of the rev range because the engine doesn't get enough air during the intake stroke and so compression decreases.

Doesn't need the Hellcat engine, and besides, it wouldn't fit under the bonnet. What it needs is a Hemi-based V10 instead of one based on the old Magnum V10. Apply cam-in-cam and combine it with the Hmi's excellent airflow, and it'd surely make over 707hp.

Flappy paddles would absolutely detract from the Viper's percieved rawness. A dogbox sequential would be better.

There's no decent DCT, not even outside of FCA's portfolio, that'll handle Viper power cheaply.

And the engine doesn't need revs. Being torquey is it's entire character.

Modern engines are limited by airflow, not RPM, ya doofus. Having the Viper rev higher would only decrease torque down low, it wouldn't increase power because the piston speed would be through the roof.

VIper isn't about being rational. It's about being irrational and setting good times while doing so.

The Viper's engine hasn't been based on the old Magnum in years. It's its own engine entirely.

Over here it's pretty fucking expensive too though, then again it's nowhere close to the sticker for the cars that it's said to match on track. Pretty sick.
