I had rains sensing wipers on my 2006 Mazda3 GT, it is certainly not any indication of "luxury" or "status". AND they're all shit. They're either hypersensitive and come on at the first sign of a cloud, or they wait too long before wiping off the rain, even on the highest sensitivity setting.
I never used them, so I was stuck using "normal" wiper mode, aka constant wiping, or SUPER FAST HURRICANE mode wipers.
I would rather just have what my RAV4 has now, 2 set constant speeds, or a dial that lets you pick from 1-5 intermittent wiper speeds. Rain sensing wipers are cuck shit.

UV dichroic polycarb sheets are available from Lees Filters, or at least they were, and the price wasn't too bad. You may still be able to send Lees the damaged filter and they might be able to match it. Lees replaced a UV film in a followspot in a theatre I worked in across the pond and even with the postage from Aus to US and back it was pretty comparable.

Never did that to a Toyota, but if in any case the underlying software is similar, theres a chance you can turn your sensor enabled wipers into intermitent wipers just by tweaking some options and/or (if needed) changing a relay.
I've done that specific procedure to some customers that requested it.
And yes, you can get that part, but be sure to get a part with a similar p/n since some sensor may have (some have) differente sensibilities and those have to be corrected in the software otherwise the wipers either will work in warp speed or work badly.
