Live in Luxembourg so it's the only one I've ever seen in my life. G-body car so easy to get performance parts for.

Cameraman failed at composition.

Yes, you should buy that Miata.
>>
>>14769300

I knew someone would mention the Miata.
>>

This
>>
>>14769234

I should probably add that I don't like Miatas, they might be the holy grail to the automotive enthusiasts but god, it's so boring after the 13215215th Miata autocross/canyon carver thing gets built.
>>
>>14769234
How much are they asking?
>>
>>14769378

No price, taking best offer I guess.
Been sitting in his garage/driveway forever. Surprisingly small amount of rust.
Don't know the mileage either. Have to ask.

Absolutely. Best car I've ever had, bought this for 2200 with around 75000 miles. Put a 350 and a turbo 350 Trans in it, runs low to mid 13s.

If you can afford the gas, go for it.
>>

How's it like when cornering?
>>

50 degrees

of bodyroll
>>
>>14769234
I fucking love you Ameriboos. Can you really get performance parts easy? What does a crate 350 cost you?
>>
>>14769705

>50 degrees

If you're not lucky it might be over 90 degrees of body roll
>>
>>14769723

Just import it. Taxes are low enough.

>>14769727
It's not a lifted pickup
>>
>>14769234
That particular one has a90 percent chance of being a V6.

And not the odd-fire Buick 3.8 either. The rough-as-a-cob even-fire Chevy 3.8
>>
>>14769738
dat shipping though

I think it's a Chevy V6. It's gonna get thrown out anyway.

>Can you really get performance parts easy?
Yes. Summitracing.com, check it out. $100 for a cam/lifter set, instant 300hp from a smogger 350 on 87 octane gas. Add a $300 chinese sway bar set and it's ready for the too-gay.
>What does a crate 350 cost you?
Depends on how aggressive you want to go.
200hp Bone stock smogger: $1500
300hp low-compression (87 octane): $2500
350hp high compression vortec (91 octane): $2600
420hp high compression 383 stroker: $3600
460hp high compression 400: $5000

But you can get a smogger 350 from a junkyard for around $200 and get it to 300 hp with a cam and headers.

Ferraris and Bentleys aren't rare sights.
Most of the country is just upper middle class/lower upper class by US standards though.

Gas is cheapest in all of Europe so that's why I'm getting something other than the VW Fox atrocity I have now.

I like G bodies but would personally never get a 4 door or a wagon just because of the rear windows not opening.
>>14769680
>>14769705
Really not that bad if it's been properly maintained, pleasantly floaty ride and not too much body roll. I've owned an 86 El Camino and driven a 78 Malibu with only 27000 miles on it.
>>

>a 4 door or a wagon just because of the rear windows not opening.
The rear windows roll down on four door G bodies
>>
>>14769926
Are those Luxembourg prices? Because they sound like US prices.

Since always?
Both of these 4 door G bodies have operable windows in the rear doors.
>>14769434
>>14769234
>>
>>14770308
The vent windows open. The rear windows don't roll down. The glass is completely fixed. I grew up riding in an early 80s Cutlass Cruiser. There's no hand crank, no switch, no nothing.
>>
>>14769680
Honestly not terrible. But it's set up as a street/strip car so it's all acceleration really. It needs new steering components but I love it the way it is
>>
>>14770173
I only got it because it was amazing for the price, I wanted a wagon but this was a great price, everything was stock and in great condition other than the headliner. It also sat in a garage for 20 years. I also like how nobody else really likes the four door, it's kind of an outsider
>>
>>14770260
Those are in fact US prices, posted in response to a foreigner's question about parts availability in America.

>>14770240
They do not. GM never built a G-body with rear windows that roll down, not even as an option for any price. The little vent windows pop open back there, though.

>>14769680
G-bodies can be made to corner. The geometry of the front control arms and rear 4-link is pretty decent, but the factory spring/sway bar combos are total land-yacht mode. To complete the pot-of-jello body control effect, the factory shocks and suspension bushings fitted to these cars usually only lasted around 20,000 miles or so before getting completely worn out and sloppy, and the steering linkage isn't much better.

Luckily since these cars are so common, there's about a zillion suspension kits you can buy for them that get them into shape.
