I've tried it once and it sucked
since the shoes I wear during the spring have soft flexing soles and my car has twitchy gas and clutch pedals on longer drives or when i need to sit in traffic i try to drive barefoot. can balence the clutch and gas perfectly with no overrevving like a fucking grandfather in an underpowered lada. old people always do this- the rew the shit out of their ford diesels and the slip clutch until they move forward.

I only drive barefoot (socks on depending on the season). I started doing it when I had my S2000 and my tall ass needed more legroom, now I just do it because I'm used to it and it's comfy as fuck.

Not usually, but if I know I'll be on the road for over an hour I will always take them off. I feel like it gives you more control over exactly how much throttle you are giving it.

If you have ABS and are not braking hard enough to engage it, you are not using maximum braking. ABS is literally computerized adaptive threshold braking and can react to changes in road surface, contamination, etc faster than you.

I actually really hate driving barefoot. Apart from having sweaty feet and picking up all that dirt and dust, I hate the way it feels when my toes wrap around the pedals. I don't really like wearing flipflops either, so it would mean taking off my shoes and socks if I wanted to drive barefoot anyway.
